PhoenixCAD

Designed to open classic CAD and technical drawings at true scale and full precision.

One of the Phoenix readers: modern Mac apps designed to open classic documents as the original application showed them on screen or printed them, and to export them for modern apps. Their reading and rendering code is being built as shared kits, much of it already used by Disk Phoenix.

Designed to open: Layers, dimensions and symbols kept as objects, with export to PDF at true scale, SVG and DXF. A reader, not an editor. The list of CAD formats is still being surveyed.

PhoenixCAD is in design. It’s at the design stage: no app has been built yet.

Distribution

Planned for the Mac App Store. The readers are designed to run sandboxed.
